Self-rimming or top-mounted – Probably the most common type of sink and are fixed in place with the rim of the sink. They can be fitted into a surface made from any material and are, therefore, an extremely flexible option. Because its rim sits on top of the countertop, Its overall dimensions are larger than the opening for the sink bowl. They come in the widest variety of styles and types. Undermounted - The bowl is attached underneath a countertop. No rim shows above the countertop. The bowl is fixed in place underneath the kitchen counter, giving a really smart, modern look. These sinks are designed to be fitted to granite and solid wood worktops
Tile-in Edges - Tile-in or flush mount sinks are designed to mount even with a tiled surface so that there is no visible separation between the sink and the surface. The main difference between undermoumt and tile-in designs is the narrow perimeter that is left around the edge of flush-mounted bowls, where taps or soap dispensers can be installed
Farmhouse - An apron front, or farmhouse, kitchen sink usually has one or two large bowl with an exposed front
panel. The farmhouse apron front sink is known for its cabinet-protecting apron front and the depth of its basin
